Covid France, via masks in 50% of schools

Enough masks for primary school children in 47 of France’s 96 metropolitan departments. The measure entered into force today in the territories where the incidence of covid-19 infections has stabilized below the threshold of 50 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. However, teachers must continue to cover their nose and mouth. The easing of measures does not affect Paris, much of southern France and Corsica. But in the meantime the little ones, who cannot get vaccinated, are today without a mask in the classrooms of different areas of the country, including most of the departments in Brittany, Normandy, the Grand East (not in Alsace, Moselle and Aube), Upper France and Burgundy: The easing could soon be extended to other areas of France as well. There are ten departments where the threshold of 50 cases per 100 thousand has already fallen, but the figure is expected to stabilize, and another 12 that are approaching this threshold.
