LOSC today announces the transfer of Reinildo Mandava to Atlético de Madrid (Spain). The 28-year-old Mozambican international defender, who has worn the Lille jersey since 2019, has signed up with the 2020-2021 Spanish champion.
Arrived discreetly in the North in January 2019 and initially called upon to play the role of understudy at the left-back position, the former player of Belenenses (Portugal) gradually imposed himself within the Lille workforce – after 3 appearances during the second part of the 2018-2019 season – as a starter from the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
In just over three seasons, the Mozambican international has played 87 games in all competitions for Lille, including 14 in European competitions. Because it was at LOSC that Reinildo discovered Europe: the Champions League (in 2019-2020 and 2021-2022), then the Europa League (in 2020-2021). It is also under the Lille jersey that the defender raised the Hexagoal of champion of France last May.
