Epstein case: Prince Andrew loses his title of royal highness and his military honors

don’t call her anymore “His Royal Highness”. Like his nephew Harry before him, Prince Andrew lost the right to use this title. A major decision that he learned from his mother Elizabeth II during a private meeting this Thursday, January 13.

“With the Queen’s consent and approval, the Duke of York’s military affiliations and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen”, specifies a terse press release from Buckingham Palace published at the end of the day.

Andrew had already ceased all official representation on behalf of the Windsors in the fall of 2019, following a disastrous interview given to the BBC about his links with Jeffrey Epstein.

Mute after the New York judge’s decision on Wednesday, the prince’s lawyers finally reacted on Thursday. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
