Christian Eriksen says he feels ‘good’ in his first social media post since he suffered cardiac arrest on the court

(CNN) – The footballer of the Denmark national team Christian eriksen He thanked people around the world who have wished for his recovery, in his first social media post since he suffered cardiac arrest during the Euro 2020 match against Finland on Saturday.

In a post on the Danish team’s Twitter profile, the midfielder is seen in his hospital bed smiling and with a thumb up.

In an attached message, the 29-year-old midfielder wrote: “Thank you so much for your sweet and surprising greetings and messages from around the world. It means a lot to me and my family.

I’m fine under the circumstances. I still have some tests to go through at the hospital, but I feel fine.

“Now, I will cheer on the guys from the Denmark team in the next matches.

“Play for all of Denmark,” he added in the post.

After Eriksen collapsed on Saturday, the match was called off following efforts by medical staff to resuscitate him with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and a defibrillator. Players from both teams were visibly distressed as medics treated him.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where it was reported that he was stable.
