Foggia, the mayor arrested: investigations for attempted corruption and extortion

The mayor of Foggia, Franco Landella, who resigned from office on 4 May last, was arrested and placed under house arrest by the State Police of the Daunian capital and by the operational Central Service. The investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office concern the mayor and other administrators with accusations, for various reasons, of attempted corruption and extortion. The precautionary measure was ordered by the investigating judge of the Court of Foggia and affects five people.
