Stromboli, today a new strong eruption after intense volcano activity. The tall column of smoke can be seen from miles away. The casting is coming to sea. There are several small landslides caused by the volcano. “There was a strong eruption but without a roar. A very big cloud rose but it poured on the side of Stromboli, on the side of Ginostra where I live nothing happened”. Talking with the Adnkronos is Gianluca Giuffrè, an inhabitant of Ginostra, who comments on the new eruption of the volcano. “At this moment the sky has darkened – he says – sand is falling, slightly wet, a clear sign that all the material that fell into the sea has risen with water vapor. Now we are trying to ascertain the extent of the phenomenon”. “Fortunately nothing has happened in the village of Ginostra but all the paths are full of weeds and if incandescent material had fallen on Ginostra, like last time, everything would have burned because the escape routes would have been closed to us”.
