There are 403 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, May 16, according to data from the region’s bulletin. Since yesterday, 5 other deaths have been reported. In detail, the Crisis Unit reported 403 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 9 after antigen tests), equal to 3.4% of 11,708 swabs performed, of which 5,252 antigenic. Of the 403 new cases, 189 (46.9%) were asymptomatic. There are 138 hospitalized patients in intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday). Non-intensive care patients are 1,250 (-34 compared to yesterday). There are 9,467 people in home isolation. There are 5 deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region, none of which occurred today (please note that the cumulative updated data communicated daily also includes deaths occurred in the previous days and only subsequently ascertained as Covid deaths).
