Gifuni in the role of Moro, first photo from the set of Bellocchio’s ‘Exterior Night’

Today unveiled the first official photo of Marco Bellocchio’s ‘Exterior Night’, with Fabrizio Gifuni in the role of Aldo Moro. Filming is underway in Rome. ‘Exterior Night’ is a Rai series produced by Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment, a company of the Fremantle group, with Simone Gattoni for Kavac Film in co-production with Arte France, in collaboration with Rai Fiction. Speaking of the series, Bellocchio himself explained some time ago: “In ‘Fuori Notte’ we will work on the reverse of ‘Buongiorno Notte’ (the film that the director had dedicated to the kidnapping and imprisonment of Aldo Moro, ed.). The protagonists will be Cossiga, Paolo VI, the wife of Aldo Moro. This time we are outside that tragedy as the title suggests. There will also be some Red Brigades who were not in the film. Naturally, the series should begin with the via Fani massacre and end with the murder of Moro ”, added the director. In the cast, in addition to Gifuni, there are Margherita Buy, Toni Servillo, Fausto Russo Alesi, Gabriel Montesi and Daniela Marra. Exterior Night is written by Marco Bellocchio, Stefano Bises, Ludovica Rampoldi, Davide Serino. The international distributor is Fremantle.
