Di Silvestre (BMW Italy): ‘One million electrified cars by the end of 2021’

“One million will be electrified cars sold by the BMW Group by the end of 2021. For us it is an important milestone but also a starting point that will take us far through the revision of our way of interpreting technology, business but also respect for the environment”. Meanwhile, the auto industry takes stock after more than a year of pandemic: “The pandemic has helped to evolve the approach to the market – explains Di Silvestre – we are much more sensitive to customer expectations through a careful commercial approach. We got off to a very good start in the first 4 months of 2021, we record a growth in the market share of the BMW brand on the Premium market and also of the Mini and Motorrad brands not only towards 2020 but also towards 2019.
