The 62nd edition of the Genoa International Boat Show ‘In the wake of the future’ kicks off today. To open the event will be the traditional flag raising ceremony, scheduled this morning at 10.30 at the Terrace of the Blue Pavilion, with the spectacular passage of the Caio Duilio, destroyer of the Navy and greetings from the authorities opened by the Mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci and closed by the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia. The Inaugural Conference ‘Nautical industry: growing in Italy, conquering the world’ traces from Genoa the route of excellence, innovation and sustainability for the made in Italy of an industry, the nautical one, which has reacted best to international criticalities. After the opening of Carlo Bonomi, President of Confindustria and Saverio Cecchi, President of Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici, there will be speeches by Carlo Maria Ferro, President of Ice Agency, Marcello Minenna, General Director of the Customs and Monopoly Agency, Marco Fortis, Vice President of the Edison Foundation, Lorenzo Tavazzi, Partner at The European House-Ambrosetti, with the conclusions of Giovanni Toti, President of the Liguria Region and Enrico Giovannini, Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility. The journalist Antonio Macaluso moderated the meeting. At 2.15 pm, in the Sala Forum of the Blue Pavilion, the awaited appointment with the 5th edition of the Boating Economic Forecast will be held, with the presence of Saverio Cecchi, President of Confindustria Nautica, Stefano Pagani Isnardi, Head of the Confindustria Nautica Research Office , Marco Fortis, Vice President of the Edison Foundation, professor of Industrial Economics and Foreign Trade at the Catholic University and Domenico Sturabotti, director of the Symbola Foundation. The round table will have as guests Carlo Maria Ferro, President of the Ice Agency and Andrea Benveduti, Councilor for Economic Development of the Liguria Region. During the conference, the new edition of Nautica in Figures – Log will be presented, the statistical yearbook created by the Confindustria Nautica Research Office in partnership with the Edison Foundation, which boasts the patronage of the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility. The report, now in its 43rd edition, provides companies, institutions and operators with sector data and fundamental analyzes to deepen the economic picture of the Italian yachting industry. During the meeting, a preview of the nautical supply chain data processed by the Symbola Foundation will also be provided. Following in the Forum Room, starting at 3.30 pm, the Conference ‘Nautica, Fisco e Dogane’ will start, the traditional meeting to take stock of tax, customs and sector regulations organized by Confindustria Nautica with Andrea Maria Zucchini, Central Director of Customs, Anna Luigia Cazzato, Head of the Central Department of Large Taxpayers and International, Sara Armella Armella & Associati law firm, Ezio Vannucci Moores Rowland Partners and Maurizio Balducci Vice President of Confindustria Nautica.
