Axa Italy, Giacomo Gigantiello new CEO

Giacomo Gigantiello will be the new CEO of the Axa Italia Group. This was announced in a note, which states that the appointment will be formalized in the next board of directors of the company, convened in July. Gigantiello joined the company in March 2017 as Chief Transformation Officer and member of the Management Committee, playing a primary role in the digital transformation of Axa Italia and contributing to the consolidation of the Italian company among the ten key markets of the Group, with the previous CEO Patrick Cohen. In April 2020 the promotion to Chief Strategy & Development Officer for the European markets of Axa, reporting directly to the ceo Europe Antimo Perretta, with responsibility for strategic direction and coordination of the entities of the Axa Group in Switzerland, England, Ireland, Spain and more recently from Mexico, sitting as a representative of the company on the boards of directors of the various subsidiaries. Before joining Axa, Gigantiello held positions of responsibility in Finance, Audit, Business Development and Operations in various divisions of Ge Capital, up to becoming Coo of Ge Capital in Italy and managing director in the companies of the banking group.
