In France there are about 15 thousand people suspended from work in the health sector because they are not vaccinated against Covid-19, despite the current obligation. The data is provided by the Ministry of Health, according to which 0.6% of the staff subject to the obligation was suspended after 15 September. They are joined by 1,500-2,000 people who have preferred to resign. Questioned by ‘Le Figaro’, the Minister of Health Olivier Veran explained that the suspensions from work actually registered are 7 thousand, but the data is incomplete because it refers only to 50-60% of the institutions. Based on these data, it can be deduced that the suspensions concern about 15 thousand of the 2.7 million people working in the sector. It is also possible that in the meantime someone has been vaccinated. A few weeks ago it was estimated that the suspensions were 0.9% of the total.
