Le Havre: a young man arrested, suspected of preparing a mass killing in his former high school and in – franceinfo

The DGSI arrested at the beginning of the week in the region of Le Havre a 19-year-old man suspected of wanting to commit a mass killing in his former high school and in a mosque on April 20, 2022.

When they raided his home on Tuesday, DGSI agents seized around 20 knives, a shotgun, a rifle and an air pistol. These weapons belong to his father-in-law. In his room, too, twenty notebooks which the teenager filled with his racist prose and his admiration for Hitler or the Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik.

According to investigators, this young man fascinated by ultra-violence and Nazism claims to be a victim of school bullying and sexual violence in the past. He was planning a massacre in his old high school and in a mosque on the anniversary of Adolf Hitler’s birth, next April 20. Or a few days before the second round of the presidential election. He had scouted around these two places.

It was while peeling through the conversations on the Telegram network of a radicalized 18-year-old youngster, imprisoned last April for a planned attack on a church in the Hérault, that the DGSI was surprised to discover the existence of this young neo-Nazi. The young woman exchanged with him on the handling of weapons and the methods to make a homemade bomb.
