TRAGIC ACCIDENT: A collision with a truck claimed 3 lives and injured 9 – Teraz.sk

Zemné, September 29 (TASR) – Four people lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident in the cadastre of the village of Zemné in the Nové Zámky district. The accident happened on Wednesday in the early morning hours on the road between the villages of Neded and Dedina Mládeže. Another six people were injured in the accident, said Katarína Križanová, a spokeswoman for the Presidium of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ).

The Operational Center of the Rescue Medical Service received information about the traffic accident at 5.13 am. “We immediately sent three crews to the emergency medical service. We were no longer able to help the participants in the accident who suffered injuries incompatible with their lives. We treated six injured people who suffered injuries of an accident nature,” confirmed rescue spokeswoman Alena Krčová. Five of them were taken to hospitals in Galanta, Nové Zámky and Komárno, and the sixth refused to be taken to hospital.

In a car accident, three cars and a truck collided. According to the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra, the driver of a Polish truck probably did not pay full attention to driving and did not monitor the situation in road traffic. He went in the opposite direction, where he caught one vehicle and then crashed into two oncoming vehicles. The truck remained overturned on its side after the crash. “Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that one of the vehicles was stuck under a crashed truck,” Križanová approached.

The original information spoke of three victims of the accident. “During rescue and rescue work, firefighters found another person with no signs of life in a crashed vehicle that remained trapped under a truck after the accident.” confirmed Križanová.

The circumstances, the cause as well as the degree of fault are the subject of a police investigation.
