Iranian-made Russian drones attacked Zelenské Rodisku, in the city of Kryvyi Rih – HNonline.sk

On Sunday, Russia attacked the southern Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, which is the birthplace of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, with so-called suicide drones, The Times of Israel news website reported. One of the drones hit a local school early Sunday morning, destroying two floors, said Dnepropetrovsk Region Governor Valentyn Reznichenko. According to Rezničenko, the fire caused by the drone attack was extinguished. In recent weeks, Russia has begun using Iranian-made suicide drones to attack targets in Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense reported that it shot down five such unmanned devices during the night of Sunday alone. Another two drones penetrated Ukrainian air defenses. The TOI newspaper added that the Russian army also targeted the city of Zaporozhye in southern Ukraine during its attacks on Sunday. Shelling from Russian positions was also reported by heads of administrations in several areas on Sunday. The Ukrainian army said on Sunday that it carried out an attack on a Russian ammunition depot in Chernihiv and also hit other Russian command posts, ammunition depots and two S-300 anti-aircraft batteries. The British station BBC – also in connection with the attack on Zelensky’s birthplace Kryvyi Rih – recalled that the Russian army withdrew from the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine on Saturday. The BBC explained that Lyman was likely defended by undersupplied units from the Western and Central Military Districts, as well as mobilized reservists. As these troops retreated along the only road out of the city, which was still in Russian hands, they likely suffered heavy casualties. From an operational point of view, the city of Lyman is very important, as it is located at a key crossing over the North Donets River, where Russia is trying to strengthen its defenses. The retreat of Russian troops from Lyman is a fiasco not only from a military point of view, but also from a political point of view, because this city is located in the Donetsk region – in a region that Russia, according to its claim, tried to “liberate” and is illegally trying to annex, the BBC reminded that the withdrawal of Russian troops from Lyman led to a new wave of public criticism of the Russian military leadership. In this context, the BBC reminded Zelensky’s statement from his last nightly video message, in which he confirmed that “the Ukrainian flag is already in Lyman”. He added that “in the last week more Ukrainian flags have appeared in Donbas” and warned that “there will be even more in a week.” 01 – Modified: 2022-10-02 12:39:18 – Feat.: 1 – Title: Gas has stopped leaking from the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, Danish authorities said 02 – Modified: 2022-10-02 11:09:23 – Feat .: 1 – Title: The retreat from the city of Lyman was apparently ordered by Putin himself 03 – Modified: 2022-10-02 11:00:18 – Feat.: 1 – Title: On Saturday, Bulgaria opened a gas pipeline connecting the country to Greece 01 – Modified : 2022-10-02 15:32:56 – Feat.: – Title: Iranian activists claim that 92 people have lost their lives in protests so far in the country 02 – Modified: 2022-10-02 14:49:23 – Feat. : – Title: Centrists succeeded in Latvian elections, Russian-speaking parties failed 03 – Modified: 2022-10-02 12:00:53 – Feat.: – Title: The Pope called on Putin to end the “spiral of violence and death” in Ukraine 04 – Modified : 2022-10-02 11:20:43 – Feat.: – Title: Protests after the death of Mahsa Aminíová already have at least 92 victims, claims Iran Human Rights 05 – Modified: 2022-10-02 11:09:23 – Feat. : – Title: The retreat from the town of Lyman was apparently ordered by Putin himself
