Return of the Indian summer: up to 27° this Saturday and the heat setting in, what weather this weekend? – Free lunch

After the first onslaught of autumn, the good weather has not said its last word. It will even be rather hot, starting this weekend. Temperatures could be above normal for the seasons and the mildness could last. After putting the sweaters back, take out the t-shirts. Sweetness will be there this weekend. A situation that could last, also indicate the forecasters. As Météo Languedoc explains, an “anticyclone will first overflow near the Mediterranean regions between Saturday and Sunday, then it will spread at the beginning of the week towards the rest of France”. Consequence: “a significant rise in temperatures next week”. From Saturday, in the north of the country, the temperature difference will be more marked, but the afternoon mercury will rise quite high, especially in the south. The arrival of this anticyclone represented in the capture below, will therefore first affect the southern half of the country and according to Météo Languedoc, the maximum in the Hérault for example will go from 18 to 22 degrees this Friday to up to 27 degrees this Saturday. The arrival of the Indian summer According to the Weather Channel, Sunday will be a real day of transition, before the installation of a new trend from Monday. This “favorable development will even persist for several days, because the protective anticyclone will change little after shifting over Central Europe”. In Languedoc, at the beginning of next week, the wind, which will continue to blow in places this weekend, should weaken, giving way to a greater feeling of heat between Monday and Wednesday. For Météo Languedoc, next week corresponds to a period that we know well in the south of France: “It will be Indian summer for a few days with nights certainly quite cool (possible thermal inversions) linked to the sky clear and with the weakening of the wind but very mild days, not to say hot”.
