Hipš resigned as chairman of the Together party, talks about joining forces with progressives – PRAVDA.sk

Juraj Hipš resigned as chairman of the Together – Civic Democracy (Together) party.

This was confirmed to the SITA agency by a source from the party’s environment. Hipš will perform the function of chairman of the Together until the proceedings of the party assembly. At the same time, it plans to negotiate the merger of the Together party with the Progressive Slovakia (PS) movement, and with this vision it wants to run for the presidency of the Together party again in September.

Hipsh became chairman of the Together party in April last year. He thus replaced Miroslav Beblavý, who resigned as party leader after unsuccessful parliamentary elections. In addition to Hipš, Pavel Macko also ran for president.
