We were expecting a strong Ferrari team at Zandvoort, but we found a Mercedes at its best level. One-two for the German team with Russell first and Hamilton second. Sainz finished behind them and Leclerc could only be sixth, behind the McLaren. Pérez finished seventh and Alonso eighth. Verstappen was barely able to lap due to a gearbox problem.
