The price of fuel gives us a certain respite. We started the month of August close to two euros but throughout the week it has been falling continuously to around the euro with 80 cents for both the Lead Free 95 and the Diesel, although there are low cost gas stations where you can still find cheaper. Thus, the average price of fuels has added its sixth consecutive week of falls and the decrease is already 11% since the end of June, when the historical maximum was reached in our country. At the moment, gasoline is at mid-May prices, while diesel is at prices at the end of that month without taking into account the bonus of 20 cents decreed by the Government. However, the cost is still exorbitant if we compare it with a year ago, before the war in Ukraine, when the average price of a liter of gasoline was almost 35% cheaper, while diesel was half the current price .
