They won 5:3 over Germany on Friday night. Ivan Feneš’s men decided on the victory in the third period, in which they scored four goals against the opponent. The Slovaks pulled the short end of the rope for two thirds, but then they turned the unfavorable development around. Jakub Demek and Servác Petrovský each scored two goals, Oleksij Myklucha scored the fifth. On Friday, August 5, the second preparatory duel awaits the Slovak youngsters, from 23:00 CET they will face Switzerland.

We have a long way to go to an ideal game. The duel with Germany in in the first two periods it revealed our weaknesses, in the third it revealed our strengths. The final act symbolized our character and our inner strength. We used three power plays, which is a good sign for the next event. We only had one training session before the match, it was noticeable. Before the third period, we sat down and said something in the cabin and on the changing table. It took a lot. It was a lot easier.
