There were also some drops, but it was slow going, only in the last three kilometers it picked up a bit. When we got into the sprint I was a bit closed behind Fabio Jakobsen. When I wanted to start, Fabio Jakobsen blocked me. Fortunately, we didn’t fall,” Peter Sagan told RTVS. Immediately after the finish, he had a heavy heart for the Dutchman: “I get along well with him, we should just drive a little more carefully. Sure, it’s the Tour, everyone wants to win a stage, and it’s Fabio Jakobsen’s first Tour, but you have to be careful. However, I congratulate him on his victory.” He also wrote on his social networks later in the evening: “It was a stage in a very beautiful environment, but with a nervous finish.
