A few seconds before seeing Analia Pigrée win bronze in the 50m backstroke, Maxime Grousset did not go far from the first tricolor world title in the 100m freestyle on Wednesday in the Budapest basin. The New Caledonian (47”64) failed in second place, behind the prodigy David Popovici (47”58). But what a second place. At 23, he won his first individual world medal.
