The serious accident occurred on Monday after 2 p.m. A passenger car crashed into a cart attached to a van with a Romanian license plate. At that time, five people were driving. “The operators of the 155 emergency line received information about the accident shortly after 2 p.m. Both the ground crews and the air rescue helicopter from Jihlava set out for the scene immediately. Due to the higher number of injured persons, a helicopter with rescuers from Brno also took off to help, “said rescue spokesman Petr Janáček. One slightly injured person was taken to Jihlava Hospital. Two other participants in the traffic accident left it with moderate and severe injuries and were airlifted to the hospital in Brno. One of them subsequently died in the hospital on Tuesday morning. The total number of victims thus rose to three.
