Germany, shootout in supermarket: woman dead

Shooting at a supermarket in Schwalmstadt, a rural town northeast of Frankfurt in central Germany. The German police reported on Twitter stating that “on the basis of consistent statements by witnesses, a man first shot a woman in the grocery store” killing her “and then, apparently, took his own life”. The police add that “at the moment there are no indications of the involvement of third parties”. It is not clear the motive for the murder, on which an investigation has been opened. The victims are a 58-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman.
