It was expected, the Girondins de Bordeaux made it official on Tuesday. Benoît Costil will leave the club at the end of the month and his contract, which ends on June 30. The divorce between the club, relegated after finishing last in Ligue 1, and the international goalkeeper (34 years old, 1 selection) had been consumed for months and his sidelining in March. Costil will have played only four matches since January 16, when he was injured, for as many defeats against Montpellier (0-2, 29th day), Nantes (3-5, 34th day), Nice (0-1, 35th day) and Angers (1-4, 36th day). Costil wore the jersey on the scapular for five years and his arrival from Rennes in 2017.
