The Russian company said this on Friday. TASR reports on the basis of a report by Reuters. AvtoVAZ has announced that it will resume production of the model from June 8. The company suspended production in March due to a lack of electronic components. Their supplies fell after the sanctions of Western states were imposed for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The majority of the shares in the Russian carmaker were owned by the French concern Renault. However, under the pressure of events in Ukraine, he decided to withdraw from the Russian market. In mid-May, Renault agreed to sell its 67.7 percent stake in AvtoVAZ to the Russian Institute for Automotive Research and Development, known as NAMI, for a symbolic sum of one ruble. Renault also added that the agreement includes the option to repurchase the stake over the next six years.
