It was around 4:30 p.m. when a fire broke out at this famous Gulf vacation spot. The fire would have started from a bungalow before spreading, causing the explosion of several gas cylinders. Fanned by the wind, the flames spread over the vegetation and neighboring structures, destroying around fifteen mobile homes and five cars. Although the fire was brought under control and no injuries were reported, the fire and the smoke, visible from several municipalities in the Gulf, required the evacuation of around thirty people. “We are going to relocate the affected tourists and we are going to help them find logistical solutions after the loss of their personal effects”, underlined David Luftman, the CEO of Prairies de la mer, a site already impacted by a fire outbreak. in one of his restaurants a few weeks ago. “Misadventures” that do not affect the morale of this entrepreneur: “The difficulty today will be to find solutions for the tourists who have rented these caravans when the campsite is full, but on the scale of the Prairies of the sea, we will manage.”
