Ukraine, Zelensky: “We need weapons, Russia wants to destroy Donbass”

The Russians want to destroy Donbass, annihilate what were the industrial powers of Donetsk and Luhansk. And for this Ukraine needs more weapons. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his speech broadcast overnight. “Russian troops are preparing for an offensive operation in the east of our country. It will start shortly. Just as Russian troops are destroying Mariupol, they want to wipe out other cities and communities in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” continued the Ukrainian president. Reiterating his call for new weapons to be sent to Ukraine, Zelensky said the fate of the upcoming battle depends on “those who have the weapons and ammunition we need and are holding back” from delivering them to Kiev.
