Kiska: Prosecutor filed indictment in tax case – SME.sk

The prosecutor of the Prešov Regional Prosecutor’s Office filed a charge in the tax case of former President Andrej Kisk. Prosecutor KP Prešov filed a charge on 12 April 2022 with the District Court in Poprad against the accused EC for the continuing crime of tax fraud and against the accused AK for the continuing crime of tax fraud. It concerns the unjustified claim of a refund of the excess deduction by KTAG for June 2013, November 2013 and April 2014 in the total amount of EUR 155,184.40. In June and November 2013 and April 2014, KTAG reported campaign expenses in its costs, thus reducing its tax base and paying lower taxes. In 2014, it reduced its tax by EUR 27,000. In April of the same year, it demanded a VAT refund of EUR 146,000. The taxpayers did not acknowledge this and KTAG levied a tax surcharge of EUR 14,600. The company paid the tax in October 2014 and in November 2016 also paid the additional income tax for 2014. Kiska is convinced that the former Prime Minister Robert Fico is behind the KTAG case, together with former Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák (both Smer) and SBS head Bonul Miroslav Bödör .Fico, whom Kiska defeated in the second round of the 2014 presidential election, has repeatedly called Kiska a tax fraud.
