Fighting in Ukraine: 27-kilometer-long Russian military convoy heading for Kiev, captured by satellites (PHOTO) – REFRESHER

Satellite images taken by the private American company Maxar Technologies on Monday showed that Russian ground forces continue to move closer from the north to the Ukrainian capital Kiev. It is a huge military convoy, which is up to 27 kilometers long.

Maxar said the convoy northeast of Kiev contained literally hundreds of armored vehicles, tanks, transporters and logistics support vehicles. The convoy was located on Monday about 25 kilometers from the capital of Ukraine.

The American company has been monitoring the movements of Russian military equipment through private satellites for weeks. The company recorded the first transfers of Russian military equipment to Ukraine in early November.
