Samsung Odyssey Ark: the incredible 55-inch PC screen for gaming and work

It’s not an ultra-wide screen, and neither is it a TV. Samsung’s Odyssey Ark has been designed to meet the needs of PC gamers as well as those who want to do advanced multi-tasking.

Samsung made several announcements during the CES 2022. There is a slew of new TVs of different technologies, including the QD-OLED, the Mini LED and the Micro LED, there is also a new ultra-wide Odyssey PC screen in 4K definition or a new Smart Monitor. This time around, the PC screen in question is one of a kind.

A one-of-a-kind screen

The Samsung Odyssey Ark is a 55-inch diagonal curved display in 4K definition, the size of a television, which can be rotated horizontally and vertically. To better understand how it works, it is best to watch the video by François Sorel, journalist:

As you can see, it doesn’t just rotate, it tilts as well. In mode job, this allows up to 4 windows to be displayed on top of each other. Then you can rotate and tilt it to make it a 16: 9 gaming monitor. There is also a whole integrated lighting system that can be managed with an associated remote control.

Samsung has not communicated an availability date, but this PC screen will indeed be marketed in 2022.
