EDMONTON – At the Junior World Championships, Canadian hockey players outclassed Austria 11: 2. Sixteen-year-old Connor Berard became the youngest player in the history of the championship, scoring four goals in one match. The opponent’s favorite home team shot 64:22 and after two matches leads the A-group table with a score of 6 points ahead of Finland.

The match in the B-group between Switzerland and the USA did not take place due to positive cases in the overseas team, so the defending champions lost by default 0: 1.
