France Gall: this request from his daughter Pauline before dying at the age of 19 – Close

France Gall went through many tragedies throughout her life. Five years after losing Michel Berger, she has had to deal with the most difficult loss a person has to face: that of his daughter, Pauline. Indeed, on December 15, 1997, at the age of 19, the young girl breathed her last from cystic fibrosis. Before dying, she had made one last request to her mom. It was Bernard Saint-Paul, music producer, who revealed in the book Something in us by Michel Berger by Yves Bigot, the last wishes of the daughter of France Gall, as reported Gala, Sunday November 28, 2021. “Little Pauline Hamburger who knows she’s doomed, makes a will and says to her mother ‘I know I’m going to die, I would like to be buried next to daddy‘”, had told the producer.

Still according to him, France Gall would have asked the singer of Michel Berger to have his coffin transferred to the vault of the Galls. If she had refused at first, she would have accepted in the end. Thereby, Pauline Berger was able to see her last will be respected since she thus rests alongside her dad. They were buried together, in a vault surrounded by glass, in the Montmartre cemetery in Paris, on the edge of the 29th division.

France Gall also died in January 2018

For her part, France Gall, who in turn breathed her last on January 7, 2018 was also buried with them. When she lost her daughter, the famous singer made the decision to stop music and go to Senegal. The time to mourn, she needed to withdraw from public life. She had also been able to count on the support of her relatives to overcome this terrible tragedy.
