Based on the results of RT-PCR tests, 3,015 were positive on the first Sunday in November, of which almost 67 percent were not vaccinated. 8,986 people passed this type of test.

The most positive tests were in the Košice region (691), followed by Banskobystrický (460), Prešovský (421), Trenčiansky (405), Bratislavský (363), Žilinský (304), Nitriansky (209) and Trnavský (162). There are 1411 men and 1604 women among them.

2,108 patients are hospitalized in hospitals, all of whom have confirmed the disease. “Among the hospitalized, 80.42 percent are not vaccinated at all or only partially vaccinated,” the ministry specified. There are 174 patients at JIS, 188 people need the support of artificial lung ventilation.

The number of confirmed victims of pulmonary COVID-19 increased by 40 people. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 13,269 people have died of COVID-19, with a covid of 2,551.

For comparison, a week ago, on Sunday (October 31), they performed 6,733 such tests, in 1,856 cases they were positive. 1,413 patients were hospitalized in hospitals and 11 deaths occurred.

Antigen tests and vaccination

In the past day, 1,472 positive antigen tests were performed by 16,103 people. “More than 67 percent of them have not been vaccinated yet,” the health department added.
