The incidence of covid-19 infections in Germany continues to rise, reaching 191.5 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants over seven days. This was announced by the Robert Koch Institute, whose daily bulletin today records 23,543 new infections and 37 deaths. The incidence at the national level yesterday stood at 183.7 infections per 100 thousand inhabitants. Last week it was at 149.4 and a month ago at 62.6. The contagion is particularly high in two eastern lands. In Saxony, the incidence reached 444 cases, with values ​​over 500 in three cities and five of the ten districts. In Thuringia, the incidence touches 419.9 infections. Bavaria in southern Germany follows with an incidence of 293 cases. The incidence of hospitalizations is also growing, reaching 3.91 per 100 thousand inhabitants nationwide. The peak in Germany was reached at Christmas 2020 with an incidence of 15.5 hospitalizations per 100 thousand inhabitants.
