Coronavirus in Slovakia: 1,856 new cases and 11 covid deaths – SME.sk

The laboratories tested 6,733 samples.

BRATISLAVA. Through PCR tests, they detected 1,856 cases of new infections in Slovakia on Sunday coronavirus, of which more than 71 percent were not vaccinated.

The laboratories tested 6,733 PCR samples, so the positivity of the tested samples was 27.57 percent.

This is reported by the National Center for Health Information.

The most positive were detected by PCR tests in the Prešov region (447), followed by Košický (385), Žilinský (344), Bratislavský (209), Trenčiansky (151), Banskobystrický (150), Nitriansky (109) and Trnavský region (61).

In addition, they performed 9,588 antigen tests in Slovakia on Sunday. 855 had a positive result, more than 68 percent were unvaccinated.

Another 11 people died of Covid-19, and a total of 13,045 victims in the coronavirus pandemic in Slovakia.

The total number of hospitalized increased by 8 to 1,413, the coronavirus is confirmed in all of them.

Among hospitalized, 79.38 percent are not vaccinated at all or only partially vaccinated.

There are 136 patients in the intensive care units, 135 need support for artificial lung ventilation.

The first dose vaccines 267 people were vaccinated yesterday, a total of 2,500,711 people were vaccinated in this way.

The second dose has already been vaccinated by 2,392,597 people.
