Facebook is renamed Meta. The change was announced by the founder Mark Zuckerberg, who also presents a new vision of the company, which owns the social networks Facebook and Instagram or the chat applications Messenger and WhatsApp. According to the portal The Guardian the new name refers to the so-called metaversion, which means the Internet world.

Facebook has invested a total of $ 10 billion in project development. According to the Guardian, this is twice what it spends on security and protection on the platform.
