Juve, market news: Di Maria slows down, Berardi goes up

Juventus started the first contacts with Sassuolo for Domenico Berardi. The doubts about Angel Di Maria have led the Juventus club to return to its old obsession: Berardi, therefore, is now a first choice to complete the trident of Allegri’s team in view of next season. The alternatives, according to Sky Sport, are Filip Kostic (born in 1992 from Eintracht Frankfurt) and Mykhaylo Mudryk (born in 2001 from Shakhtar Donetsk). The doubts that arose at Juventus about Di Maria concern the age (he is 34 years old) but above all the motivations of the ‘Fideo’: with a one-year contract – this is the player’s request to better prepare for the World Cup, before return to Argentina – may not be 100% integrated into the project. This led the Juventus management to make assessments on the real benefits of the eventual hit and to open other tracks, the first leading to Berardi. Meanwhile, Juventus continues to negotiate with Atletico Madrid for the return of Morata. The parties are studying the various possibilities to reach an agreement: one of these could be the inclusion of Kean as a counterpart. Juventus’ objective, however, is to obtain a discount on the price of Morata’s card, compared to the figures agreed two years ago for the possible redemption (which did not take place) of 35 million euros. As a last resort, there may also be the possibility of a new loan. The two clubs continue to work to seek an understanding.
