And to achieve this goal, the following are necessary: ​​the use of effective devices in particular in certain environments such as hospitals and adequate, severe and constant monitoring. The advent of Covid has unfortunately overshadowed some important issues, such as that of hospital infections. I would like to remind you that even before the Covid-19 emergency hospital infections killed about 50 thousand patients a year in Italy, an evident sign of a tendency to invest very little in prevention. It is in fact known that the cuts in prevention are those that emerge during emergencies, such as the one we have just experienced. Not being caught unprepared will allow us to save many lives ”.
