Chiara Ferragni visited the Memorial of the Shoah in Milan. The visit took place last week, following the private meeting at the home of life senator Liliana Segre. The digital entrepreneur went to Piazza Edmond Jacob Safra, 1 to discover, accompanied by Segre, the symbolic place of one of the greatest tragedies in recent history, the scene of deportations that has remained intact today. “The Shoah Memorial is now a few years old, it opened to the public for the first time in 2013, but still, even in Milan, there are people who don’t know it, or don’t know exactly what it is or where it is – says Segre -. It is particularly worrying to discover that many taxi drivers are not aware of it: if not even those who bring us people know what we are talking about, it means that we must act differently. This is why I thought of Chiara Ferragni, who not only has a huge following, but even before I met her she seemed like a woman of depth. “” After meeting her – Segre underlines – first at my home and then on a visit to the Memorial, I was able to to know his curiosity and willingness to put himself at the service of my request. Ours was a simple visit, from grandmother to granddaughter, a meeting between generations, but also a passing of the baton. When the eyewitnesses are gone, we will have to rely on all those citizens who will want to take on the responsibility of remembering. Who better than Chiara Ferragni then, who speaks to 27 million people every day? “
