Covid Italia, Gismondo: “Mask is no longer an obligation”

“I think that slowly we should return to a normal life, therefore without a mask” imposed as an obligation. A line that should apply “also to means of transport” according to Maria Rita Gismondo, director of the Laboratory of clinical microbiology, virology and bio-emergency diagnostics at the Sacco hospital in Milan. “Enough obligations”, declares the expert to Adnkronos Health in view of the deadline of June 15, when for the Undersecretary of Health Andrea Costa it is likely that the latest anti-Covid restrictions relating to the mask in closed places will also fall. “I would leave it more to free choice”, reiterates Gismondo. “There are people who psychologically feel even more protected by wearing it – she observes – while there are people who can no longer stand it, so I would not continue with an obligation”.
