Palermo, starting Thursday ‘A Marina of books’

The thirteenth edition of Una marina di libri opens on Thursday 9 June, at 4.30 pm, the appointment with the Festival of independent publishing will take place, for the second consecutive year, at Parco Villa Filippina, in Palermo. Welcoming guests and the public on the stage of the Coop theater: Gaetano Savatteri, artistic director, Nicola Bravo, president of the Natural Shopping Center Piazza Marina & Dintorni and executive director of Una marina di libri, Masha Sergio, Matteo Di Gesù and Salvatore Ferlita , scientific committee of Una marina di libri, the editors Antonio Sellerio and Ottavio Navarra, and Maria Romana Tetamo of the Dudi bookstore (who oversees the children’s program). A toast with Rosso Ludovico, the most important label of Tenute Orestiadi di Gibellina, partner of the event, will kick off the program of the day which will open, as usual, with the show for the little ones entitled Di qui non sipass . The leitmotif of Una marina di libri 2022 (from 9 to 12 June) is Pensieri corsari, a tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini to celebrate the centenary of his birth, and to commemorate the great Italian intellectual, the Festival involved actors and actresses who will propose to the I publish some of Pasolini’s most beautiful poems. It will start on June 9 (7pm) with Gigi Borruso who will recite La terra di lavoro, it will continue on Friday (7pm) with Filippo Luna who will interpret I know, Saturday 11 (7.30pm) it will be the turn of Chiara Muscato with Il pianto della excavator, and will close on Sunday 12 (11 am) with Glicine, entrusted to the voice of Stefania Blandeburgo. Over 200 appointments and numerous Italian and foreign guests. Poems, novels, essays, graphic novels, photo books, shows, and then debates and meetings on sustainability, the environment, art, history, current events, seminars for university students, workshops and entertainment for the little ones will be the soul of the literary festival which hosts 88 publishers. Do not miss the tribute to the missing authors: Luciano Bianciardi, Giorgio Manganelli, Enzo Sellerio and Giuseppe Quatriglio.A marina of books will open with the children’s show entitled Di qui non sipassone, among the guests of the first day Domenico Iannacone, who will talk with Gaetano Savatteri on the role of the suburbs, Marzia Sabella who will present the book Lo sputo (Sellerio publisher), Valerio Calzolaio with Isole Carcere (Edizioni Gruppo Abele), Javier Castillo with The Snow Girl (Salani), Sergio Rizzo with Absolute power. The hundred magistrates who command in Italy (Solferino), John Dickie with I free Muratori. World History of Freemasonry (Laterza) and for the Various Verses section. Poets in comparison, Guido Cellie and Davide Rondoni. To close the evening the concert Alearno Trio by The Brass Group. A marine of books is organized by the Natural Shopping Center Piazza Marina & Dintorni, by Navarra Editore and Sellerio Editore, with the collaboration of the University of Palermo and the Dudi Library, which is entrusted with the program dedicated to girls / boys and girls /Boys.
