The excruciating, oppressive and sultry heat will therefore end with record values ​​for the beginning of June with 40.4 ° C in Alghero on Saturday, 39 ° C in Pescara on Sunday, 37 ° C in Rimini, 35 ° C in Gallipoli and other values ​​almost records such as 37 ° C in Florence and Rome of the past days. In the inland areas of Sicily and Sardinia, peaks of even 41 ° C as if we were in Tunis. But beware, the contrast between these two very different air masses will cause many thunderstorms until next Saturday. Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist of iLMeteo.it, indicates the possibility of showers and thunderstorms with hail until Saturday 11 June: we will have a drop in temperatures of even 10 ° C on the Adriatic side, in practice we will go from the anomalous 35 ° to the anomalous 25 ° , that is, above average to below average. Attention therefore also to strong thunderstorms and possible hail, a phenomenon that has hit hard especially France and Germany in recent days. But the models also indicate an intensification of the wind from Thursday to Saturday, in particular on the Adriatic belt: the Grecale will return, with a fresh and lively north-east wind downhill from the Balkans. From mid-week we will have rough sea on the Adriatic side and drop in temperatures. Is summer over before it starts? We are not so alarmists but certainly this week, from the Marche to Puglia, the weather will be capricious and, in some moments, it will also be quite sparkling from a thermal point of view: the Adriatic basin will then become very moved from Abruzzo downwards with waves up to 2-3 meters and some modest storms.
