There are 2,916 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, April 18, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Another 14 deaths recorded. The new cases were identified on a total of 7,316 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 4,893 were molecular and 2,423 rapid antigen tests. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 39.9%. Patients currently hospitalized in the intensive care units in Emilia-Romagna are 36 (+4 compared to yesterday, equal to + 12.5%), the average age is 65.3 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, they are 1,336 (+44 compared to yesterday, + 3.4%), average age 75.6 years. The active cases, that is the actual patients, are 57,453 (- 2,320). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 56,081 (-2,368), 97.6% of the total number of active cases. The total number of people healed are 5,222 more than yesterday and reach 1,286,050. In total, there have been 16,471 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
