Thunderstorms, cold and even snow ready to reach Italy. After a day of All Saints marred by the cyclone Poppea, with huge amounts of rain in the North and on the Tyrrhenian Center, and a Tuesday marked by a temporary improvement, Antonio Sanò, director and founder of the site www.iLMeteo.it, communicates that from Wednesday 3 a second disturbance accompanied by colder air arriving from northern Europe will project our country towards a marked worsening of the weather, with the risk of intense rains and thunderstorms over a large part of the Center-North. Subsequently, the deterioration will also reach Campania where real storms with strong winds will be possible, especially close to the coasts. The presence of cold air will also give rise to a sharp drop in temperatures, more noticeable in the northern regions, with the more than concrete possibility of a return of important snowfalls on the alpine sector: the flakes will first descend on the Alps above 1500/1600 meters, then, from Thursday they could go up to 1000/1200 meters above sea level, especially in the upper Lombardy and all the Dolomites with the snow that could whiten places such as Livigno (SO), Madonna di Campiglio (TN), Solda (BZ) and Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL). IN DETAIL Monday 1st. In the north: widespread bad weather with heavy rains. Middle: it worsens strongly in the afternoon on Sardinia and the Tyrrhenians. In the south: it gets worse with heavy rains, in the afternoon, on the Tyrrhenian sectors. Tuesday 2. In the north: last rains on Friuli Venezia Giulia, sun elsewhere. Center: mostly sunny. In the South: good weather prevailing. Wednesday 3. In the north: returns to worsen with widespread rains. In the center: severe bad weather in Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and Sardinia. In the south: it worsens strongly in central-northern Campania. Since Thursday, more rains in many regions and snow in the Alps below 1400 meters.
