Mostra Venezia 2021, the trailer for ‘Madres paralelas’ is online – Watch

Online the teaser trailer, all without dialogue, of ‘Madres paralelas’, the new film by Pedro Almodóvar with Penélope Cruz, Milena Smit, Israel Elejalde, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón which will open, in competition, the next edition of the International Art Exhibition Venice Film. In the trailer, speechless, it is the faces of the protagonists who speak. ‘Madres paralelas’, which also sees the participation of Julieta Serrano and Rossy De Palma, tells the story of two women, Janis and Ana, who share the hospital room in which they are about to give birth. They are two single women, both in an unexpected pregnancy. Middle-aged Janis has no regrets and in the hours leading up to the birth she cheers for joy. Ana, on the other hand, is a frightened, contrite and traumatized teenager. Janis tries to cheer her up as they stroll through the hospital wards like sleepwalkers. The few words they exchange in these hours will create a very strong bond between the two and fate, in taking its course, will dramatically complicate the lives of both.
