Dance, Eleonora Abbagnato ‘Juliet’ in Nervi with her daughter Julia

Two Juliet with a Shakespearean scent, on stage at the Nervi Parks for the Music and Ballet season which will officially kick off on June 26th. Mother and daughter, an acclaimed étoile, a budding young promise. It is the debut, for the first time together, of Eleonora Abbagnato, étoile of the Paris Opera and director of the corps de ballet of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and little Julia Balzaretti on 23 July with the choreography of Sasha Riva, Simone Repele and Uwe Scholz. The rich program of the historic event includes the opening with the gala of the Youth America Grand Prix Stars of Today meet the Stars of Tomorrow. Talented promises of international ballet will share the stage with some of the solo dancers and principal dancers of the major ballet companies from around the world. Expected, among others, Jacopo Tissi (ballet company of the Teatro alla Scala), Luca Acri, Cesar Corrales and Meaghan Grace Hinkis (Royal Ballet), Benjamin Freemantle (San Francisco Ballet), Marcelo Gomes, Alejandro Martínez (Dresden Semperoper Ballett) , Polina Semionova (Berlin State Ballet) Elisabeth Beyer and Yuma Matsuura (Abt Studio Company). Among the events not to be missed ‘Giselle’ (3 July) interpreted by the Ukrainian National Ballet, which brings together for the occasion the soloists of the ballet corps of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theaters, Kharkiv, Lviv and Odessa, the Compañía Antonio Gades (8) who will revive the myth of ‘Carmen’ in the show signed by Gades and Carlos Saura, ‘Cuba Vibra!’, The overwhelming show of the Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba company (14). The Béjart Ballet Lausanne (19) will instead pay homage to the art and figure of the company’s founder and artistic director, with a diptych signed respectively by Maurice Béjart (Béjart fête Maurice and the legendary Boléro), and by Gil Roman ( t ‘M et variations…). Grand finale on July 27 with Roberto Bolle and Friends, the grand gala of the étoile of the two worlds that arrives for the first time in Nervi with a special evening built by letting oneself be inspired by the magic of the places.
