Digital identity in the supermarket

The experimentation started at the beginning of July in four Unicoop Firenze stores and extended to another 14 three weeks ago, is very much appreciated by the citizens. For Florence, 619 digital identities have already been issued in the Centro Gavinana store and reservations are at 692. In Ponte a Greve, where the service started with the opening of the temporary store on 28 July, the activations are 189 and 201 reservations. In Gavinana the next available appointments are starting from the first days of September, from the end of the last week of August for Ponte a Greve (data as of 11 August). The service is free and can be booked by phone. The Spid is the personal digital identity, with which the citizen can access the online services of the public administration (Inpd, Revenue Agency and many others) and private members. It is also one of the ways in which the Green Pass can be downloaded. The Spid at the supermarket arises from the need to provide goods and services at the best possible conditions and from the awareness of the difficulty that many people are facing in managing their digital identity. Who does not have a PC, who does not have the skills for cultural or personal reasons: the digital divide (English term that indicates the distance between those who know how to use new technologies and those who cannot) affects everyone. Hence the choice of Unicoop Firenze to reduce a possible inconvenience, give an answer when obtaining the Spid and at the same time establish a relationship. The procedure for obtaining the Spid takes place in a dedicated area of the supermarket, where a specially trained Coop employee supports the citizen throughout the procedure. The initiative was born following the agreement signed between Coop Italia and Namirial. for the release of the Spid. Namirial is the supplier that operationally allows the opening of the Spid and hosts the digital identities. Other collaborations see Anci Toscana, the association of municipalities, and in perspective, the Department of Studies of the Tuscany Region, to support the employees of Unicoop Firenze with some young volunteers from the high schools of the Region. Just book at 800 050 760 (every day from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 18) to be able to access this activity of concrete help for the release of the Spid, and to conclude the last phase, that of digital recognition, by presenting the forms already downloaded and filled in and having already done some operations from your home PC (quick procedure, 5 minutes), or doing the entire procedure at the point of sale (lasting about 25 minutes). During the booking it will be possible to indicate the chosen supermarket and a time will be given to show up in the space identified for this activity.
