Italian pessimists, 1 in 2 sees black on the future

Password: uncertainty. Covid leaves a profound mark on Italians’ future life expectations: for 1 in 2 (48%) the next decade will be characterized by instability and precariousness. This is the photograph that emerges from a Bva-Doxa research conducted for Groupama Assicurazioni on the occasion of the second edition of the ‘Change Lab, Italy 2030’ Observatory to investigate the post-pandemic and war expectations of Italians in 2030. A general feeling of precariousness which is more acute in women (52%). Furthermore, such perceptions are further amplified by the Russian-Ukrainian war, accentuating the general feeling of instability in 6 out of 10 Italians (60%). The onset of new international conflicts capable of directly involving Italy is in fact today one of the major concerns that frighten our compatriots (57%), also terrified by the idea of ​​being able to lose loved ones (39%), to have serious health problems (36%) or failing to financially support their family and children (33%) and losing their savings (28%). On these fronts, especially families with small children (52%) are feared.
