Money laundering allegations for Binance

Binance accused of money laundering. It is the result of a report by the Reuters agency that was able to consult some judicial documents on the crimes that the global cryptocurrency giant would have committed between 2017 and 2021. The largest global exchange would have been used to embezzle 2.35 billions of dollars in stolen digital currencies. Among the main accused is the North Korean hacker group Lazarus, suspected of using the stolen funds to finance Pyongyang’s nuclear program. The system was simple: it was enough to create anonymous accounts on the platform of Changpeng Zhao, one of the richest men in the world, and then erase his digital traces. A ploy that would also have been used by criminal gangs and drug traffickers.
